If you’ve been following us for a while now, you know that we’re big fans of taking our time. When you spend hours driving, sightseeing, hiking and you find THE perfect SPOT in nature, all you want to do is stay there for a few days and relax! Rest and chill means afternoon Cinamon Rolls. Yummy!
Here’s our famous recipe for vegan Cinnamon Rolls, suitable for van kitchens.
Recipe for Vegan Cinnamon Rolls
for about 18 small cinnamon rolls
The ingredients
The dough
- 15 tablespoons plant-based milk
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon yeast
- 26 tablespoons flour
- 3 tablespoons melted vegan margarine
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 pinch of salt
The topping
- 5-6 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons vegan margarine
The icing
- 15 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons plant milk
The steps
Step 1
- Heat milk until lukewarm.
- Mix milk, sugar and yeast.
- Heat margarine until melted.
- Add flour, salt and vanilla extract.
- Knead dough until elastic.
- Leave to rest for 1-1h30.
Step 2
- Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle (long side facing you).
- Apply margarine to the entire rectangle, leaving 2cm at the bottom.
- Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon mixture over margarine.
- Roll up rectangle from top horizontally.
- Cut the roll of dough into several pieces (you can do this with a string instead of a knife to avoid crushing the dough and keep the beautiful round shape).
- Place the pieces on a plate and leave to rest for 30min-1h.
Step 3
- Bake for 11 minutes on medium heat in the Omnia oven.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk in a bowl.
- Apply the icing to cooked cinnamon rolls.
Step 4
Enjoy while it’s still hot 😉 with a cup of tea!
